Dear Sir:

I have received your letter of the 5th June in reply to my letter of the 3rd. Upon enquiring at the Bank I find that $715.56 had been forwarded and credited to my acct in accordance with your information. Since it was not brought to my attention I was unaware of this transaction when I wrote you on the 3rd. Thank you for your early reply.

To judge by your letter I infer that the 715.56 plus the previously remitted $700.00 totals the assets from my real property sold by the Custodian. The balance of $14.77 remaining is only the proceeds from the sale of chattels left, to quote from you letter: in view of your (my) dissatisfaction of the value obtained. I would like to have the authorities understand quite clearly that it is not only the sale of the chattels I am dissatisfied with. I have objected and still do object strongly to the sale of my real property, the price sold for and the method employed in the transaction. In fact, I would not touch a cent of the proceeds if it weren't a case of economic necessity brought about the evacuation and costs of sending my two young sisters and brother to school, while the three eldest brothers, including myself, volunteered to wear the colours as we consider it was out duty.
