File No. 4836

Dear Sir:

I received your letter of July 19th informing me of the sale of my land for the sum of $982.00. Do you think this is a fair price for it. Will you please tell me who you have sold it to. You know yourself that the land was worth more than what you have sold it off at. Are you trying to give out bargain sales that would please the buyer. That piece of land has been cleared from bush land and you will never no what energy and sweat I have put in it to make it produce as it does now. Just because it is a Japanese owned property I do not see any reason why you should bargain it off so cheaply.

In Oct. 30th 1942 I have a letter from you under file no. 4836 asking us that someone desires to buy my land for $1500.00 and you wanted to know if we would sell it. Now if it was worth that much then I see no reason why it should not be worth the same price now in 1944. Is it because you fear that if my land was paid so much for others would be hard to sell so that you have set a scale by which such lands should be sold for. I am sure that any scale by which you have sold lands for will not be satisfactory to us. So if you please collect more for the price of the land I would be very glad to receive the balance of what a really fair price is concerned.

Also I notice that you have taken the interest on my mortgage until the time of my sale of land. If you should collect it till then isn't it logical that I receive what revenue there is until then. But I do not see any credited to me for 1943-1944. How about this?

Once again I say that the selling price of my farm is too low for seeing as you offered us $1500.00 in the first place I am sure that it is what we should receive so I await for your answer assuring us that we can get the amount asked for.

Thanking you for your trouble and hoping I will hear from you. I am,

Yours truly,

(Signed) "T. MISHIMA" #13684
