Dear Sirs,

I wish to acknowledge receipt of the sum of $2,467.45 thru the local branch of the Bank of Montreal. I want to make it clear to you that I am accepting it only as part payment of my Ganges property which you claimed to have sold. When we evacuated we were assured by the Custodian that our property & everything on it will be well taken care of & I had handed to you the list of goods on our property & also the value of our property, which I would like you to check over and that is the value I would like to claim for my property so I wish to make it plain again that what I am accepting now is only as a part payment.
