Dear Sir:

About a month has passed since we received your reply to our request for information of our personal effects found at our home on Salter Street in New Westminster.

Thank you for the auction sales sheets showing the items sold and the net proceeds credited to us.

Perhaps it is useless to inform you now, but all the prices listed on the sheets are outrageous and believe me, there is not one article listed that was sold for even a quarter of its real value. There were a few things belonging to Mrs. Takahashi, which we had stored, a stove and a kitchen cabinet, I believe, but there is no kitchen cabinet listed on the sheets and only one stove is listed, that I can see, whereas, we had listed in our forms to the custodian before we evacuated from the B. C. coast, one kitchen stove and four heating stoves.

But, as all our goods are not listed in the auction sales sheets and as we were never allowed by the custodian to have any goods sent to us, what was actually sold at the auction sale and what happened to the rest of our belongings is all a mystery to us.

Sincerely,

"Hanjiro Yoshijima"
