Dear Sir:

You have informed me that my property known as Re-111 Steveston Highway, Steveston, B. C., of E. 51157, the Westerly 1/3 of Lot 2 of Block 41, 42, 55 and 56 of Sec. 35, Block 4 North Range 7 West, Map 3527, having a frontage of 1 and 2/3 chains on No. 9 road and a uniform width for a full depth of said Lot 2 and adjoining Lot 10 of N.W. has been sold.

As you are aware, I have never consented to the sale nor ratified it but have at all times and do now object to the sale of my said property.

Because however, I am in destitute circumstances, and because the Government has discontinued the advance of maintenance to me, I have to request from you the proceeds of the sale of the property in order to maintain myself and my family but in doing so I wish it made clear that it is only being accepted under protest and without prejudice to any rights which I have or may have arising out of what I consider the wrongful and disposition of my property.

Yours truly,

"R Hayashi"
