Dear Sir:

This is to let you know that I have received your cheque for the enforced sale of my property left in your care for the duration. It was understood that when I turned my property over to you it was in good faith of it being kept for me till [until] the war was over. But as I see that you have sold it I hereby wish to say that the amount received is not the true value of my property. As the cost of everything is up I think that the price of my property should be assessed accordingly too.

I hereby say that the price should be more and I wish to receive the true amount of my investment and I will not be satisfied until this is received.

Hope to hear from you on this case and hoping that you will revise my assessment of property and pay accordingly to the present value.

Thanking you for your troubles, I remain,

Yours truly,

"Seishi Mukai"
