I wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of December 23, 1946 and also the cheque of $457.15.

Although I have received the total sum of $3,248.10 I am not satisfied with the compulsory sale of my property and automobile and will not settle at such a price.

I am sending a copy of this letter to Norris & McLennan, Barristers
