Dear Sir:

We have received your cheque, the sum of $2,910.07 (two thousand, nine hundred ten dollars and seven cents) forwarded to us.

We haven't cashed it as yet because we are dissatisfied with the amount it has been sold.

I am very sorry we have neglected to answer your letter promptly.
