We are in receipt of your letter of July 14, 1944. This has been carefully read and your comment noted with reference to the price you wish to obtain on the sale of the above property. However, the sale of all Japanese properties is being carried out as a part of a policy of liquidation outlined by Ottawa on the basis of appraised values. The price obtained for your property is $1,456.00.

Your letter has been placed in our files in order that your comments in regard to this sale will remain on record, but we can only advise you that we cannot consider any alternative in connection with this matter. Kindly let us have your title without delay.
