In reply to your letter of September 20th, regarding my property, I regret to hear that you are going to sell the same by order of Dominion Government at Ottawa.
I do not wish to sell my house as it was bought when we got married and all the children were born and brought up in it and we know no other home.
Prior to our evacuation, we had many offers for our house but we did not sell it because the government promised to look after the same for duration. I chose the present tenant and rented him furnished and left everything with him for duration. We have been satisfied with this arrangement.
Most of my house-hold goods have sentimental value as they are wedding and anniversary presents, even the range and refrigerator were both for my wife's birthday presents and I would like to have them for keep-sake. And also in the future when we must move out from here by Government's re-location plan, we have to have them for normal living. Therefore I would like to have them in storage or at a friend's home if the house must be sold.
Please get in touch with me again before you take definite steps.
Yours truly,
"Momoki Masuda"
