File No. 1372/1

Dear Sirs:

On receipt of your letter and statement of March 15 instant as a reply to my request for statement of rentals and release of my tools, I regret to say that the result is very disappointing.

I had relied upon the policy of the Government of Canada at the time of evacuation (March 1942) for the assurance of safe-keeping of my properties until my return. In consequence, I am aware by your letter, that it is contrary to my acknowledgment, wishes, and requests. My opinion in regards to the disposal policy was administered unsatisfactory.

Your letter was much appreciated.

Yours truly,

I. P. Matsumoto.
