Dear Sirs:

Re: File No. 8667

On looking through former correspondence from your office relating to matters of my property and having them fully explained to me, I would like to protest the sale.

I feel that the property should not have been sold as I had leased it prior to my departure. Furthermore the Selling Price was in no way the real value of the property. I purchased the land for Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500.00) and since then I had cleared over seven acres, built a house valuing Sixteen Hundred Dollars $1500.00) and was only three years old at the time of sale. I also planted many fruit trees, raspberries, strawberries, and black currants. I built a barn on the property too.

Therefore, I do not consider the receipt of the cheque as settlement of my property vested in your care.

Yours truly,

"Chiaki Katsuno"
