Mr. T. Maruno,
President,
South Fraser Farmers' Union,
Box 302,
Raymond, Alta. [Alberta]

Dear Sir:

Your letter of the 13th instant has only just been received by our office.

We note that the residents of the South Fraser Farmers' Union now residing in Southern Alberta petition against the disposal of Japanese properties in British Columbia.

As you are doubtless aware, a policy of liquidation has been decided upon by Ottawa and the local Vancouver office has received instructions to carry this policy out and it will be our endeavour to do so in an orderly manner.

A deal has already been consumated in regard to farm properties in the Fraser Valley and in regard to other properties they will be advertised for sale and tenders will only be accepted if considered satisfactory.

We note that your letter is also addressed to Ottawa which, in connection with this particular matter, is the correct place for your petition to be forwarded.

Yours truly,

F G Shears,
Acting Director.
