Dear Sir:
We are in receipt of your letter of June 21st, 1944.
Your remarks have been carefully read and we can appreciate that the disposal of your property will be a matter of personal concern. However, the sale of properties to the Director, The Veterans' Land Act was carried out as a part of a policy of liquidation outlined by Ottawa on the basis of appraised values.
Your letter has been placed in our files so that your comments in regard to this sale will remain on record but we can only advise you that we are unable to consider any alternative in regard to this matter.
In accordance with your request, we enclose herewith a cheque in the amount of $70.00 representing redemption of 1937 and 1938 Pacific Co-operative Union shares, forwarded to you at this time from your credit account at this office.
Upon reviewing our records we find that Dr. E. J. Eacrett of Mission City has placed a claim for professional services in the amount of $35.00, which you have not yet paid. We should like to hear from you as soon as possible advising us to pay this debt from your account here, otherwise please state your reasons for not authorizing payment.
Yours truly,
W. E. Anderson,
Farm Department.
