Dear Sir:

We are in receipt of your letter of June 22nd. This has been carefully read and we can appreciate that the disposal of your property will be a matter of great personal concern to you. However, the sale of all Japanese property is being carried out as a part of a policy of liquidation outlined at Ottawa on the basis of appraised value.

Your letter has been placed on our files so that your comments in regard to this sale will remain on record, but we can only advise you that we are unable to consider any alternative in regard to this matter.

Attached you will find a form letter which will give you full information with reference to your chattels.

Yours truly,

George Peters,
Administration Department.
