"Dear Sir:

"I am returning the cheque which you sent a few days ago. You must have seen in your file my letter written to the Custodian in June 21, 1944. It was an emphatic protest against the whole so-called "transaction" of which I desire no part.

"I did not ask your office to look after my property hence I cannot accept the cheque at this time. The disposal of your property will be a matter of personal concern wrote W E Anderson of the Farm Department in June 29, 1944. And so it is. How would you or even Mr. Anderson like to be kicked out of your house which you have planned and built to your own specifications and satisfactions. Then soon after informed that your house and land has been sold. Yes, sold without your consent and at a ridiculous amount. Perhaps you did not go through the pains and joys of building on your own property (bought beforehand) after so many years of saving and planing. Surely it is a matter of personal concern and as a Canadian citizen I do not recognize this forced sale of my property.

"Yours truly,

"H.K. Naruse"
